4.30.2007

maybe they'll stay oblivious, maybe they won't...

I could really do without people falling into counter-productive,
unthinking, reactionary behaviors that I remember them operating under
atleast ten years ago...

4.22.2007

insert joke here...

kcrw just played dido right after bjork... does anyone else find that
hilarious?...

free lightbulbs for earth day? it's earth day?...

I don't know how long "supplies will last" and all that, but Home
Depot is giving free lightbulbs out today (apparently it's earth
day)... so says lifehacker.com ...lemme know how it works out for
ya...

4.20.2007

I think I may just have to edit my personal list of dependable people...

4.13.2007

Beer & pizza, & Sprint customer service...

Alright... Early morning recap: beer and pizza = good... Sprint customer service = so far, so bad... the beer was a heiniken... ' I'll keep everyone posted whether the sprint service gets better or worse (this is the 1st sign of trouble)...

4.09.2007

You have new Picture Mail!

So I'm at a job in anahiem, wearing a sombrero... Long day so far, but it's been okay... The drive probably won't take it's toll on us until tomorrow... But hopefully they'll get with it and keep the coffee stocked

4.07.2007

If that's not creepy...

Apparently, the av mall wants to cut costs by having people in neighboring restroom stalls share toilet paper...

Fun... & suck...

So yesterday was fun... Bunch came up for the weekend, so a few of us hung around for a bit... And then there's a separate annoyance for this weekend, though I doubt it will just be this weekend... Certain genres of activities seem to breed disregard...

4.05.2007

Tax deductable?...

So I had to go looking for another shirt for next week's job, as they didn't like how the other shirt went with the jacket... Hopefully this one will work better...

4.04.2007

No means no...

So let's see... Worked in ontario the other day... Still more computer issues on my end (my last several posts have been from my phone) - apparently, I need a new processor to go along with my new motherboard (grr)... We shall have to see what happens...

4.01.2007

Wrestlemania...

So with a bit of running around last week, I was reminded of how many people I know that really think of themselves as open minded and, of course, are completely delusional... Have a nice day kiddies...

3.30.2007

so I got another job finally... Was down at Dodger stadium for a few days... They shaved my gotee - I'm not so sure I like the mustache alone...

3.25.2007

Salad...

is still for prison... Against my will is against the law...

3.24.2007

Everybody's what for the weekend?

So we were kinda all over yesterday... From Burbank to San Dimas and then back home... Tiring but kinda fun... Today's proving to be a bit more laid back, which seems to be working well...

3.22.2007

Huh?...

So I'm not exactly sure what's going on with a few things this week (no, more than usual)... I guess I'll have to wait and see...

Ah... That's better...

Too early...

One more early morning is one more reason to be annoyed with ';the man';... Atleast we're stopping for donuts...

3.21.2007

You so crazy...

Today has been a bit different than I was expecting...

3.02.2007

update this...

so I'm still lacking computer access for the most part... it's fairly out of my hands at the moment...

I occasionally get on yahoo messenger on my phone for those kids who just need to get a hold of me & don't have my number...
& of course I still check my email around twice a week...

& I have had almost no access to a scanner (yes, I know I have a scanner, but it's not near any available machines), so I have been drawing, but you wouldn't know it to visit chirping krikit....

other than that, if anyone local likes to go to the gym, I've been making it a little more regularly lately :p
& if anyone knows of any office jobs open, lemme know...

2.14.2007

Fired?...

so I'm just sitting here, trying to clean up my inbox (since I still need to fix those pc problems)...

so here's an interesting question:  which is worse?  a) Kevin Federline on WWE several weeks ago  or   b) Donald Trump on WWE this week...
any thoughts?...

2.05.2007

damn 'puter...

yeah, it's been forever (in 'puter land anyhow)...

not only did I move back to the other end of the valley recently, but I also have been having no shortage of computer-craziness... I'll probably be on more within the next week or two (or something), but I'm not 100% on that...

hey, no yelpin' if ya ain't helpin'...

1.17.2007

Silence...

yeah, it's funny how certain moments in time are...

this somber Blindside song comes on, "Silence", & then I discover my friend Heather's old website... some would say a perfect moment in time...

I'm not sure I have any words myself...

1.16.2007

ensue....

e-mail problem... solved

I'm able to check all my email with Thunderbird now, so if you thought
you had my last email address before the gmail announcement, then by all
means use that... otherwise, or if you're not sure, use the gmail...

so anyways... unless some sort of craziness ensues, it looks like I'll
be going to Comic-Con in San Diego this year - woohoo!
just hope all the people that seemed so interested in going don't
puss-out... they'll have enough notice, so let's see...

1.13.2007

post-it notes...

well, for those of you that haven't heard first-hand, I'm a little hard to get a hold of these days... there's so many people that just use myspace as an exclusive communication tool, that I'm definitely out of that loop - I haven't been on myspace more than once or twice a week, as of late... & it's alarming how many of those myspace users are content to believe that myspace is gonna be around forever...

well, anyways, I pretty much post here from my email, & as I've mentioned before, I have been trying to get more done online without being online - which has also brought a new issue...

I love Thunderbird... Mozilla Thunderbird... I can do so much with so little...

so, what's the problem?... well, I'll tell ya... yahoo thinks that we in the U.S.A. should have to pay for POP access (not the rest of the world, just us)... so everyone who thinks that they have the best email to reach me may want to rethink that for a second...
& then comes GMail... I'm not as sold on Google as I have been on Yahoo!, but it does seem to be the only serious competition Yahoo is likely to see anytime soon... either way, alot of things about GMail are truly refreshing & helpful in very individual ways... obviously that rant about GMail also means that they have free POP access (meaning I can do it all from Thunderbird)...

Now, I'm not giving up on Yahoo!, & I'm well aware that there are atleast two workarounds for this predicament, but me being online less means I am unable to devote extra time to making these little nuisances work...
so in the meantime, email me at my GMail address, which, many of you know, is likely to be GammaKrikit (!)... then the @ symbol... then gmail.com... (!)

I still check my yahoo address but it's not nearly every day like the gmail...
any workarounds I might not know about?...

thanx Peter B. (see link on the sidebar) for the invite, by the way...

1.10.2007

raising the eyebrow...

so I didn't really have any reason to suspect that my back would start
killing almost a week after pushing a Buick... but that's what happened...
at the moment, anything but lying flat causes cringing...

so how's everyone else doing?...

1.09.2007

"No One Really Wins"

yeah, I'm not asleep... I know this is no surprise to anyone, but yeah...
I'm annoyed...

but anyways, I've been playing with this web-editor called NVu - kinda fun... not to mention free & open-source... it's pretty easy to use - I wanna see what all I can do with it... I'm hoping I can edit my blog with full-on custom templates...

1.06.2007

Knowda... oh, wait...

so before Christmas, Verbs had this special on his new Groundwork 3P (EP) - it was pretty much a steal... pretty good too... thanx Verbs!
good hip-hop is hard to come by these days... seriously... & if anyone might think this 3-song cd was a little sparse, remember the pizza rule...

well, I have to go heat up so beans & then clean some more... have fun kiddies...

1.02.2007

& in the vicinity of now... (or right up to)

I know... I know... I haven't been on for some time... (all 2 of you that read this might have noticed)

well, needless to say, the holidays, yada yada yada...

& things have been culminating to such a point, which will mean various changes - which will possibly be explained when they happen...

on a lighter note, this is my 1st post attempt from Mozilla Thunderbird - if it works out, I can get more posting done whether I'm online or not (& the internet has been a pain lately)... not to mention, I can actually read & respond to my email (a simple thing which has dwindled alot lately)...
but also, I've been trying to find ways to be more productive online, while spending less time on the internet... hopefully this works out...

...

now on to an actual update...
Christmas was fun (after all the pre-holiday stress, that is)... new years was kinda low-key, but I kinda wanted it to be...

it almost seemed like the holiday whirlwind was gonna take Kathy & Alex as swiftly as it had brought them, but we actually did get a bit of real time on the 26th (which was good)...

we had a nice visit with Adam & Jodie while they were here from Georgia - also got to see the munchkin at the dedication...

this is the 1st year in many that I've tried to do the Christmas card thing again - I actually did fairly well, all things considered... I didn't get everyone I meant to, but it's my first attempt with any real semblance of success, so I feel good about it...
I remember years ago, getting all these family addresses from my Grampa & meaning to start atleast some sort of basic correspondence -  but I lost the addresses rather promptly... it was nice to get his card done this year (even if I still didn't get any of the other Thompson's - it wasn't for lack of trying, but hey, I'm new)...
