aaahhhhh!
Is anyone else beyond done with this recurring scenario?... Programs with available Ubuntu download options, but none for Debian? ...even though Ubuntu is Debian-based???
what I have done when this has happened in the past, is download all the "ubuntu flavors" of a .deb* file or try the PPA's one-by-one, since one of the most recent one's will probably work fine... but why should we do this?
Come on! ...There is no Ubuntu without Debian!
...And I'm done.

* .deb is pretty much the Debian equivalent of an .exe file in Windows, in case ya didn't know ;) (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deb_%28file_format%29)
